While not a true cooperative, Shelbyville Locally Grown Market uses cooperative efforts to achieve steady and dependable means of supplying the highest quality produce and other products. Shelbyville Locally Grown Market works to find new and innovative methods to preserve greenspace, protect our natural resources, support our local economy, provide meaningful work, and return to a more self-sufficient community life. Shelbyville Locally Grown Market member farms often dedicate a portion of their personal time to building gardens for their local communities as well as providing fun and informative educational programs for children and adults, including those with special needs.

Membership Fees
At this time there is no annual membership fee for customers or vendors.

Other Important Items

Placing Orders
The market is open 5 days a week, 24 hours per day to maximize ordering convenience. Order anytime from Friday morning until Wednesday at Noon. Each Friday an email notification is sent to announce that the market is open and to provide relevant updates. Customers can place any time during the week, but no later than Wednesday at Noon. We cannot take orders from customers any other way than through the website.

Farmers/Growers/Producers receive their orders on Wednesday at Noon and harvest on Wednesday and Thursday. They then deliver the pre-labeled orders to the Shops at Main & McGrew, 100 S. Main St, Shelbyville on Thursday between 4:00 and 4:30 PM.

Picking Up Orders
From 4:30 until 5:30 PM on Thursday, customers can pick-up their produce at the Shops at Main & McGrew, 100 S. Main St, Shelbyville.
